Discover Borsec

Set at 850–930 metres above sea level in the Eastern Carpathians, Borsec is surrounded by the Giurgeu, Bistrița and Călimani Mountains. Its mineral springs and distinctive mountain climate have shaped the town for more than two centuries, giving rise to a long tradition of therapeutic bathing and mineral-water treatments. Today, Borsec brings this heritage together with outdoor experiences and contemporary wellness.

  1. The Springs

Borsec is renowned for its many mineral springs. Among the best known are the Boldizsár, László, Lázár, Kossuth, Petőfi and Pierre Curie springs.

  2. Fontana Spa & Balneo

Set across more than 3,000 m², Fontana combines contemporary spa facilities with balneotherapy, drawing on Borsec’s long tradition of mineral-water treatments.

  3. From Slopes to Summer Thrills

Speranța Ski Complex has three slopes for winter sports enthusiasts. Once the snow is gone, the pace doesn’t slow down: the summer bobsleigh track runs for almost 1.5 km, with a 125-metre vertical drop.

  4. Scaunul Rotund

Scaunul Rotund Nature Reserve brings together remarkable travertine formations, caves, scenic viewpoints and trails winding through the forest.
